Acceptance Terms, Conditions & Cancelations.

Long-Term Course & Visa Students.

Before starting the visa process, please make sure you understand and meet the necessary requirements in the Spanish Embassy in your country

Classes in the student visa program are always face-to-face. Online lessons are not allowed under any circumstance.

Visa denial and cancelations

If the student can’t take the course because their visa has been denied, the total amount of the course will be reimbursed with the exception of administrative expenses (250€), as long as the cancellation is made at least 10 working days prior to the starting date of the course. In order to get the refund of the payment, Jaleo Madrid has to receive a written communication.

The student must send us the official letter of denial (with date, signature and seal) issued from a Spanish Consulate or Embassy, in which name, passport number and visa requested are clearly visible.

Cancellations made on the starting date or after the program start date, whether the student has arrived in Spain or not, don’t allow any refund of program fees.

  1. The school does not offer trial lessons.
  2. One class is equivalent to 55 minutes.
  3. Classes in the VISA program cannot be converted into online lessons or private lessons.
  4. Jaleo Madrid reserves the right not to open a class if it does not have the minimum number of students enrolled.
  5. Once the visa support documents (enrollment letter, study plan and full payment receipt) have been sent to the student, the type of the Spanish course and its duration cannot be changed. The start date can be changed, and new visa support documents will be issued in case of an appeal after a visa rejection and in case of only being able to obtain an appointment at the embassy later than the start date of the course.
  6. Once the student obtains their student visa, the start and end date of their program cannot be changed. If the student starts attending their classes later than planned, they can use their holiday weeks included in the program to not miss any classes.
  7. If the weekly attendance of the student is 60% or below, the school reserves the right to assign the student to another group based on the level test results, teacher recommendation, and the class availability. The schedule may change.
  8. All students who wish to cancel their course must notify the school with a written communication: by e-mail, WhatsApp or letter. All other notifications won’t be accepted.
  9. Only students in long-term courses can take breaks/holidays during their course as part of their package. It is necessary to take a minimum of 1 full week from Monday to Friday. The school cannot guarantee availability in the same group upon return.
  10. Holidays need to be communicated to reception 7 days in advance. Otherwise, the break will not be considered as part of the holiday entitlement but deduced from the course weeks credit.
  11. In order to obtain the diploma at the end of the course, students must attend a minimum of 80% of the course, as established by VISA laws.
  12. For long-term courses, when holidays are included in the course pack, the school reserves the right to require students to use some weeks of these holidays, when the school may be closed.

Public Holidays

We are a coop founded and run by teachers. As well as our students needs, our workers needs are very important and we provide good work conditions for them. For that reason, our school won’t open during bank holidays (national and local) and those classes won’t be taught. Visa students will use the proposal holiday weeks of the final contracted services to cover those holidays. Please, find the holiday dates below.
