September is always a time for fresh starts, but this year at Jaleo, we’re celebrating big.
If you’ve passed by our school over the summer or followed us on social media, you’ll know we’ve experienced a few weeks of… well, quite a bit of jaleo! Between hammers, paint, cables, and a lot of excitement, we’ve been working behind the scenes to completely transform our language center.
The reason? For the first time since we opened our doors, the space is 100% ours. After sharing the premises with another study center since our beginnings, this summer we acquired the entire space to give it our personal touch, fill every corner with light, and tailor the facilities to exactly what our students need.

We wanted the school to be not only bigger, but also a more comfortable, modern, and versatile environment to Spanisch lernen in Madrid. Here are the key upgrades you’ll notice right away:
The heart of Jaleo Madrid is our teaching staff. As part of the renovation, we’ve redesigned a dedicated teachers’ room. It offers our instructors an independent space to prepare lesson materials while maintaining an open-plan concept that fosters collaboration and creative idea-sharing.
We’ve refreshed our colors, brought in more natural light, and installed modern technology. However, the core of Jaleo remains unchanged: our people and our welcoming atmosphere.
We designed the new space to reflect how we teach Spanish: a warm, vibrant, and friendly hub where you can learn the language, make lifelong friends, and feel right at home in Madrid.

Cuando estamos en nuestro país, aprender otro idioma a veces resulta un poco complicado. En primer lugar, al ser novatos no podemos valorar si el nivel de nuestro profe es el adecuado (¿Es nativo? ¿Es profesional?). Por este motivo tenemos que adaptarnos a los límites del mercado de nuestra ciudad. Sin embargo, ahora todo esto son excusas gracias a Internet. En Jaleo Madrid somos fans de las clases por Skype y, desde el primer momento, las incorporamos a nuestra oferta. Por el camino hemos oído toda clase de criticas a las clases por Skype: “No son para niveles bajos”, “son muy frías”… A través de nuestra experiencia, hemos comprobado que esto no es así. Im April dieses Jahres sind es sechs Jahre her, dass aus dieser beiläufigen Bemerkung Realität wurde, und wir könnten nicht glücklicher sein. Eine von Lehrerinnen und Lehrern gegründete und geleitete Schule mag für diejenigen, die diesen Weg nicht miterlebt haben, keine große Sache sein, aber für uns bedeutet sie alles. Vor sechs Jahren wussten wir nicht, was Gesichtsmasken sind, und wir konnten sicherlich keine KI bitten, einen Geschäftsplan für uns zu erstellen.
