Listen attentively and don’t get frustrated. Setting impossible goals is counterproductive; understanding everything fully on the first listen isn’t feasible. Focus on grasping the topic and main ideas initially. Revisit the podcast the following week, and you’ll notice understanding more details and words. Remember, you can listen to it up to twenty times if needed, so take it step by step.
Don’t be lazy. You can listen to podcasts anywhere, anytime, in any way you want. You have complete freedom to use them. It doesn’t matter where you are because once downloaded, you won’t need Wi-Fi. Learn at your own pace with total flexibility.
Make use of all the extras. Many podcasts designed for learning Spanish come with cool — even interactive — activities included. For a small fee, some also provide transcripts so you can read and analyze all the vocabulary at your leisure. Ideal for deep learning.
Be curious. Cuando pensamos en nuestras clases de español en Jaleo Madrid, pensamos en nuestra experiencia como guiris fuera de España. En nuestros años fuera hemos sufrido muchas situaciones en las que nos veíamos limitados por el factor idioma y solemos compartir experiencias con nuestros estudiantes. Y es que sabemos perfectamente qué es sentirse “lost in translation”. Hoy recopilamos algunas de esas situaciones frustrantes que toda persona que ha vivido fuera de su país ha sentido. Hablar por teléfono: Hay muchas personas que tienen miedo al teléfono en una situación normal. Esa ansiedad se transforma en pánico cuando la llamada es en otro idioma. El ruido, la falta de gestos, no poder leer los labios… Todos esos problemas nos hacen sentirnos más inseguros en otro idioma. Burocracia: Otra situación de ansiedad. En
Uno de los momentos más dramáticos con el que nos encontramos en las clases de español es cuando tenemos que explicar algunos de los usos del “se”. Nunca una palabra tan pequeña causó tantos problemas. Nuestros seguidores en las redes sociales, sabrán que esta semana estamos hablando de la diferencia entre “quedar” y “quedarse” (no olvidéis de pasaros por nuestro Instagram), y hoy vamos a hablar de otros verbos que cambian cuando se les agrega un “se”. Acordar / Acordarse: Aquí nos encontramos con dos verbos que no tienen ninguna relación cuando se les agrega el “se”. “Acordar” está relacionado con “acuerdo” y significa llegar a un acuerdo.
