A common question from our students is, “Can you recommend an app for learning Spanish?” While we’ve discussed various resources before, we haven’t yet covered one of our favorite applications: RTVE Play.

What is RTVE Play?

RTVE Play is the app of Radio Televisión Española, Spain’s national public radio and television broadcaster. This app offers a wealth of content that’s perfect for practicing your Spanish skills. Whether you’re a beginner or looking to refine your proficiency, RTVE Play has something for everyone.

News and Informative Content

One of the standout features of RTVE Play is access to programs like Telediario, which is Spain’s main news broadcast. Not only do these programs provide high-quality information, but they also allow you to watch at your own pace. You can pause, rewind, and even turn on Spanish subtitles. This flexibility is fantastic for immersing yourself in the daily lives of Spaniards and makes it easier to tackle what might initially seem like difficult content.

Historical Archive

RTVE Play also boasts an extensive archive that includes historical television shows produced by the oldest television network in Spain.
